REBELLION MEDIA ADDS 10th PROPERTY in 10th MONTH

The first quarter of 2012 has been busy for Rebellion Media as they secured the assets of another popular MMA property this week when they closed a deal to acquire MMAConvert.com. Since it’s launched in 2008, MMAConvert has become one of the most popular blogs for fight news, videos and the most up to date and detailed fight card details in the space.

“This first quarter has been very busy for us. With the acquisitions of MMAFrenzy.com,  MMA-Scraps.com (February) and CagedInsider.com (March) now with MMAConvert we’re following through with our Q1 2012 acquisition plan. With MMAConvert, we’ve added another well-established property in the MMA space which will fit in perfectly with our other owned and operated MMA brands. MMAConvert has a large following and will add users to our traffic base and give advertisers a larger reach in the 18 to 35 male demographic,” said Rebellion Media CEO Scott Hastings.

The acquisition of MMAConvert is the third of 2012 and the tenth in the last 10 months for Rebellion Media. Rebellion has the largest number of owned and operated combat sports websites under ownership and continue to look for strategic targets that will fit under the Rebellion brand.

“Working with Rebellion Media on this deal has been awesome. They were diligent, fair and easy to work with. I’m proud of the property I’ve built with MMAConvert.com and the time was right to bring it to the next level. The site is in great hands with the Rebellion team and I look forward to working with them,” said MMAConvert.com Steve Barry. Barry will remain on as consultant to Rebellion with all of the Rebellion properties.

MMAConvert.com will add a significant number of users in the male 18 to 35 demographic to the current baseline Rebellion traffic.
